Enliven Construction was founded on the belief that thoughtful leadership shapes meaningful work. Partners Jamie McDonald and Josh Kuzma bring complementary strengths in business strategy and construction operations, grounded in engineering discipline and a deep connection to the Philadelphia community.
Together, Jamie and Josh lead Enliven Construction with intention — guided by a shared philosophy that purposeful planning, collaborative execution, and unwavering accountability are the foundation of work that endures.

267-885-8413Jamie’s natural aptitude for organization and strategic structure drove her transition from an engineering foundation into a dynamic entrepreneurial career within the Philadelphia Commercial Construction Industry. Over fifteen years of diverse experience spanning from large-scale international contractors such as Turner Construction to nimble, local enterprises, gave her a broad and adaptable perspective on aligning business functions with company-specific goals.
As Managing Partner at Enliven Construction and Partner at KMC Partners, Jamie plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s operational framework, enabling scalable growth while maintaining operational excellence. She leads day-to-day management across Sales, Finance, Human Resources and Marketing, cultivates and manages strategic vendor partnerships, ensures compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and refines internal processes to maximize efficiency and accountability.
Jamie was named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2026 “40 Under 40,” an annual recognition of the region’s rising leaders, selected from nearly 300 nominations. The selection committee considers not only career success, but also the ways honorees give back to the broader community. This distinction underscores her leadership and impact within the industry. She was also honored in 2025 by Bisnow with its award for Outstanding Excellence & Influence in Philadelphia Commercial Real Estate through its “Philadelphia Women Leading Real Estate” initiative.
She is equally dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in construction’s next generation, serving as an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University’s Engineering & Construction Management Department. Jamie is passionate about volunteering her time as a Board Member with Girls on the Run, Philadelphia Women in Construction, and CoreNet Philadelphia as well as serving on the Board of Port Wardens at Philadelphia’s Independence Seaport Museum.
Jamie is originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and has long called Philadelphia home since graduating from Drexel University, recently settling into Fishtown. Weekends are filled with her nephew and nieces' sports activities, finding new hiking trails, and enjoying the booming restaurant scene in Philadelphia.

With a foundation in Architectural Engineering and over fifteen years of experience in the Philadelphia construction industry, he brings a comprehensive and solutions-oriented perspective to every project, bridging design vision with execution.
As a Partner of Enliven Construction and KMC Partners, Josh leads construction operations with a focus on pre-construction, estimating, and project execution. He works closely with clients, architects, and engineers to align scope, budget, and schedule early in the process, guiding teams through constructability reviews and setting projects up for success. His long-standing relationships within the Philadelphia subcontractor community enable efficient, informed, and reliable delivery across a range of sectors.
Known for his hands-on leadership style, Josh remains closely engaged in each project from early planning through field execution, fostering strong partnerships and maintaining accountability at every phase. His ability to anticipate challenges and adapt in real time ensures projects move forward with clarity and confidence.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University, with a concentration in Structural and Construction Management, and is both ICRA and ASHE certified.
Outside of work, Josh is actively involved in his community, coaching and sponsoring Nether Swarthmore Providence baseball, where his sons play. He values the opportunity to mentor young athletes and contribute to a program built on teamwork, discipline, and growth.
