  • Role Description 

    We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team full-time on-site in Philadelphia, PA. The Carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks across multiple construction projects, including framing, finish carpentry, and the proficient use of power and hand tools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, taking ownership of assigned tasks and ensuring that all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

    Qualifications

    • Proven carpentry and framing skills with hands-on experience

    • Proficiency in operating both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively

    • Expertise in finish carpentry with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship

    • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and construction plans

  • Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role as a Construction Project Manager located in Philadelphia, PA. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for project coordination, construction project management, budgeting, construction management, scheduling and overall completion of assigned projects.

    • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and trade partners to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.

    • Coordinate and manage all project activities, including procurement, value engineering, construction, installation, and close out.

    • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and building codes.

    • Conduct regular site visits and weekly OAC meetings to provide directions to the project team and address any issues or concerns.

    • Create, manage and track project budgets, expenses, contracts and change orders.

    • Prepare and deliver project status reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders through Procore.

    • Manage submittal, RFI and all project logs with the assistance of an Assistant Project Manager.

    • Foster strong relationships and effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

    • Ensure timely completion of project deliverables and successful project closeout.

    • Complete budgeting and bidding proposals as necessary for clients.

    • Manage relationship with City of Philadelphia L&I for permits and inspections.

    • Complete internal project updates as needed by the team.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.

    • 5-10 years' of relevant experience in the AEC industry. Project Size $250k - $25Mil

    • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, interior finishes, and materials.

    • Strong organizational skills & Team Player.

    • High Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Applications, including Projects, Word, Excel and Sharepoint. 

    • Experience with Procore and completion of online certification training. Experience with other project management software.

    • Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions to maintain quality, schedule and budget within project requirements.

    • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally.

  • Key duties, responsibilities, and learning objectives:

    • Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Experience with Procore, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Plangrid and/or other construction software’s.

    • Ability to read/Eager to learn, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

    • Review submittals from subcontractors before submission to Architect/Engineer team with Project Manager approval.

    • Review and create RFI from subcontractors and internally before submission to Architect/Engineer team with Project Manager approval.

    • Participate in weekly jobsite meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

    • Assist Superintendent with onsite subcontractor coordination.

    • Assist Supervisor with 3 week look aheads and project schedule. Student will have access to and learn Microsoft Projects.

    • Maintain project logs (lead time log, drawing log, issues log, submittal log, RFI log, etc.)

    • Develop relationships with project stakeholders on site and on design team.

    • Reports to Project Manager and Field Superintendent on the assigned project.

    • Review job specific contracts with Project Manager.

    • Collect appropriate insurance documents and contract attachments from subcontractors.

    • Complete close out documents for turnover to client and completion of project.

    • Understand the financials of the project, assist with change orders with Project Manager.

    • Positive attitude, teamwork and eagerness to learn new tasks.

    • Can work well in a team and independently to bring completed tasks back to Supervisor.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage construction projects from preconstruction through completion

    • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and project milestones

    • Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that project specifications and deadlines are met

    • Manage site on a daily basis to monitor progress and adherence to safety protocols

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and building codes

    • Prepare and submit project progress reports, change orders, submittals, RFI's, meeting minutes, and other project-related documentation through Procore

    Qualifications:

    • At least 3-5 years of experience in managing construction projects, with a focus on interiors construction

    • Knowledge of construction industry best practices, regulations, and building codes

    • Strong leadership and team management skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

    • Experience with project management software and tools
